ART HOPPING
This
group meets to enjoy various galleries and exhibits in the local area as well as in Cambridge and Boston.
BOOK CLUB - DAYTIME
The Book
Club meets in a member’s home on the fourth Tuesday of each month from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. The book of the month is
chosen from members’ recommendations and each discussion is lead by a volunteering member. New participants are
always welcome.
BUNCO
- MONDAY EVENING
Bunko is an easy to learn fast-paced dice game. The group meets the first Monday of the
month at 7 p.m. in a member’s home. Group members take turns hosting game night. The overall winner for
the evening takes home a prize! New members or subs are always welcome.
BUNCO BABES - THURSDAY EVENING (DAYTIME DURING WINTER MONTHS)
The
original group was so popular that a second group was necessary to allow more members to play this fun game.
CANASTA
Do you like to play
cards and enjoy an entertaining day of relaxation and laughter? Keep the first Thursday of the month free and join us
at 10 a.m. for a rousing game of Canasta. Bring a bag lunch. Snacks and beverages are provided.
CONCERTS TOGETHER
Love of music is the catalyst behind
this group. Members will have input as to their interests which will be sent to all members in this group to select local
concerts to attend. Each member will be respsonsible for getting her own ticket. Meeting after the event for supper or coffee
may be scheduled to discuss the concert.
COOKING
WITH THE CHEF
This group offers a variety of cooking experiences from restaurants, bakeries, cooking schools
and personal chefs. It meets once a month and the number of attendees is determined by the size of the hosting venue.
CRIBBAGE
This is a game of two to hour players and
involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gain points. We have varying levels of experience and welcome all
new players. This group meets on the second Tuesday of the month in the afternoon.
FILM FANS
Film fans attend acclaimed independent,
foreign and Hollywood movies at some of the Seacoast’s most engaging theaters. Including among them are the Music Hall
in Portsmouth and The Screening Room in Newburyport. After viewing a picture, Film Fans retire to a local restaurant for coffee
and lively conversation about the work they have just seen.
FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE
This group meets from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. the
third Wednesday of each month at members’ homes. Bring your needlework or anything else you’d like to work on.
You are welcome to just come and chat. The group is open to new participants at any time.
GOLF
All interested golfers, whether duffers or
pros (haven’t seen a pro yet) meet at Bramber Valley Golf Course in Greenland on Wednesdays. We tee off at 9 a.m. and
request you arrive by 8:30 to form groups. We have also been known to "travel" to different courses in the area
on a day other than Wednesdays.
KAYAKING
We
will provide a "networking list" of women who all have an interest in kayaking. This is for the experienced and
non-experienced members alike, with or without your own kayak. After gathering information from each member, a schedule of
quiet water excursions will be set up.
LITERARY
MAINE BOOK GROUP
The state of Maine is home or host to a wide variety of authors as well as the setting for
well loved and well reviewed classic and current literature. This group will focus on these authors and settings in the books
they choose to enjoy.
LOW
KEY BRIDGE
This group meets the fourth Wednesday of the month and is open to both beginners and experienced
players.
MAH JONG - DAYTIME
Mah Jong is a centuries-old Chinese tiles game similar to the card game Rummy, but much more exciting and exotic!
We meet the third Thursday of the month at a members' home. Space may be limited.
MAH JONG - GREEN DRAGONS GROUP
This Group was created
for beginners but there is a nice mix of experience levels. Members are willing to teach the Taiwanese Mah Jong rules. The
Group meets on the second Wednesday and fourth Monday of the month.
MAH JONG - THE TILE TURNERS
This evening group plays on the third Monday
of the month. Players enjoy a little competition by keeping score.
NATURE WALKING
This new group will meet the first Monday of the month in October and after
our walk we will discuss our common interest and determine if we want to walk more often than once a month.
QUILTING
Do you have unfinished
quilting or hand sewing projects? Come enjoy a quiet evening of socializing and sewing on the fourth Wednesday of the
month at 7 pm. Sharing skills and ideas is what we do best.
SKIING
If you enjoy downhill skiing join us for midweek excursions to local
ski areas. Weather permitting that is!
SNOWSHOEING
Weather and snow levels permitting, this is great winter outdoor excercise. No special days designated so interested
parties have to be on an email list to know when the group is planning an outing.
STUD CLUB
This is a friendly,low stakes game for
spouses or anyone who would like to play.We meet at
a member's home, usually on the fourth Friday of each month at 7:30 pm. Wives go to a movie, out to dinner or participate
in an activity of the hostess's choice while the guys play cards. The host provides snacks but the guys...BYOB. No one goes
home broke OR rich !
TENNIS
Whether a seasoned player or someone who needs to hone her skills, this is the group for you. Groups
play at the Great Bay Athletic Club in Newmarket on Thursdays at 2 pm. Clinics are offered on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30.
THEATRE GROUP
The seacoast
is full of exciting new productions from our many local theatres: Pontine, Seacoast Rep., Players Ring, Firehouse in Newburyport
as well as the Celebrity Series at UNH. We attend matinees or evening performances and usually round out the experience
with a meal at a local restaurant or with a little after theater coffee.
WALKING EXETER
Join us Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 a.m. for a
3-mile walk in Exeter. We meet at the municipal parking lot on Main Street in Exeter. The more who come, the merrier the walk.
WINE TASTING
Wine Tasting
group meets on the third Saturday of the month at a member's home. It is a casual event with lots of socializing along with
a tasting and discussion of five to seven wines over appetizers and desserts. (You don't need any knowledge of wines to participate
and it's certainly acceptable to discard excess wine once you've tasted it!) The cost of the wines is divided by those
actually tasting. Typically the cost is $12-17 per taster. Hosts provide coffee, tea, paper goods and cutlery. The group
chair will bring the glasses, score sheets and pencils. If a host prefers not to choose the wines for the evening, the group
chair or another volunteer will select them.
WOMEN
TALKING
News, health, relationships, books, travel, music.......all this and more is the basis for this discussion
group. The meetings will be informal, no pressure, no preparation, just an exchange of ideas in a relaxed atmosphere. Politics
and religion are off limits! Definite meeting day and time to be determined after the first meeting.
